Chief Executive leaving England Basketball

image0013The Chief Executive of England Basketball, Keith Mair, will leave the organisation following its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 31 August after ten and a half years in the position. Mair will also resign his positions as a director of the British Basketball Federation and as a member of FIBA Europe’s Finance Commission.

A New Zealander, Keith Mair arrived at England Basketball’s head office in Leeds in February 2003 after a career in New Zealand that included chartered accountancy, stockbroking, teaching, coaching and sports administration. As a basketball coach Keith coached teams at every level of the sport, including 21 years with NZ national teams, the last 13 as coach of the Tall Blacks, concluding at the 2000 Olympic Games.
